RESPIRATORY
Certified Respiratory Therapist Duane hails from Florence, SC. He’s been traveling for ROC for about 6 months now, and has enjoyed having the freedom of working where he wants to, and also getting to leave hospital politics behind by traveling. Duane is most satisfied on the job when he gets to see an acute or chronically ill patient that gets better and can go home. Traveling has made an impact on his life by meeting others in the medical field and learning new things in his field. He and his wife (a traveling RN) have treasured getting to visit historical places and seeing places that they have never been to while on assignment. Duane’s goal for next year would be to travel all year, and he has his sights set on working in Hawaii and/or Florida. Both of those places would be ideal to pursue his interest in camping and fishing. Duane says he chose ROC because when he called, everyone was very friendly and helpful, and ROC definitely plans to help him achieve his goals for 2008!

LABORATORY
Tina, a Medical Laboratory Technician is originally from Hereford, AZ, and has worked for ROC for about 15 months. She enjoyed traveling when she was in the Air Force and when her lab manager retired from her previous job she realized just how much she missed traveling and decided to get back into it. She is so glad that she did for many reasons both personally and professionally. Traveling has broadened her resume much more than would have been possible at an isolated location, and also she has enjoyed getting to be a part of new equipment being implemented to better improve the quality of care her patients receive. Personally, Tina recently received her scuba diving certification, has had phenomenal opportunities to capture wildlife and landscape photos, and last but certainly not least, she met her boyfriend Pete on her assignment for us in Iowa! She recommends traveling because there are so many things that she just doesn’t worry about and take home when her shift ends. Here’s to her meeting her goals of earning state licensures like CA and FL, and for getting her Master Diver certification and publishing one of her photos!!”
